As we begin a new year of exciting chapter events, please join us at the magnificent Woman’s Athletic Club of Chicago for a delightful lunch and special lecture by Red Kennicott of Kennicott Brothers.

Kennicott Brothers’ roots trace back to 1836 when Dr. John A. Kennicott started The Grove Nursery in Chicagoland. By 1881, his sons launched Kennicott Brothers Company, quickly becoming a leading wholesale florist in Chicago and expanding to the Midwest and South via rail. As air transport emerged, flower production shifted to California and South America, prompting the company to source globally.

Today, Kennicott Brothers supplies florists and event planners across several states. In 2000, they became fully employee-owned, with Chairman Red Kennicott remarking, “When customers call, they speak with an owner.”
