About the Event

No winter lasts forever. No spring skips its turn. How exciting to feel spring is coming back soon! Let’s come out and celebrate spring by this special Ichiyo School Demonstration by former Chicago Ikebana International Chapter President, Janet Knowlton. 

 

Janet Knowlton Bio:

Janet has studied Ichiyo ikebana for over 30 years; she first started when she moved to Tokyo for her husband’s job in 1986 and earned her Master Teacher Certificate in 2009. Ikebana has been a wonderful creative outlet and a source of many friendships over the years as she has taught, demonstrated and promoted the art of ikebana. With many moves around the world, Janet has been a member of over 8 different Ikebana International chapters; she lived in Chicago from 2007 to 2011, serving one term as president. She currently teaches out of her ikebana studio in Ann Arbor MI. 

 

Event Details:

When: Saturday, March 14, 2020, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Where: South Riverview Room, East Bank Club, 500 N Kingsbury St, Chicago 

Cost: $30 for lunch buffet $4 for parking
